Learning log outside-week 10

House rules for parents and teachers
We have separate house rules for kids.

1. Use a parent or teacher account

LearnEnglish Kids is for children who are learning English. If you are a parent or teacher, you can become a member, but you must create a parents or teachers account.

Members of the kids site must be aged 12 or under. Children who are 13 or older can join our
 website for teenagers.

Please also use only one account on LearnEnglish Kids and don't pretend to be anybody else. You can add a profile picture to your account, but it must not be a photo of children. This is to help ensure that the whole of the LearnEnglish Kids site is a safe environment.

2. Write only in the parents' section

Parents and teachers must ONLY comment on the parents’ section on the site. Please do not write comments on the kids section. This is to help keep LearnEnglish Kids a completely safe environment for children.

3. Relevant comments only

Please keep your comments relevant. Comments should be connected to the topic of the page, or a reply to another user’s comment. Please also make sure your comment is your own words and you don’t copy from another place.

Comments must not be offensive, hurtful, or use bad words. Please make sure that all comments you send to the site are OK for very young children to read and look at.

4. Only use English

A lot of people will read comments you send to LearnEnglish Kids. Always use English - and then everyone can understand. Don't worry if your English is not perfect, or if there are mistakes, we will publish your comment. Making mistakes is part of learning!

5. No links to websites

LearnEnglish Kids is created for children. Please don't recommend or put links to other websites in your comments. Some websites are not always safe for children.

6. No spam

No spam, and no advertising or promotion of products or services. If we feel that your comment is commercial or for promotional purposes it may not be published.

7. No personal details or contact info in comments

Don't put any personal details in your comments that identify you or your children. This means details like full real names (first names are OK), addresses, phone numbers, or school names. If we find these details in comments we will take them out.

Please also don't put any information in your comments so that others can contact you outside the website. This means information like email addresses, Instant Messenger IDs or personal website addresses. If we find these details in comments we will take them out.

8. Keep your password safe

Don't give your password to other people, or put your password in a comment. If other people have your password, they can look at your profile, and they can send comments into the site in your name. If you think someone knows your password, please change it. To change your password, go here and log inhttp://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/user. This will take you to your profile. Click on 'edit' and you can change your password there.

You must follow the house rules.

Remember! We check all comments before we publish them. If comments break the house rules, we will not publish them.  If you think a comment is breaking the house rules, then please contact us.
If you haven't seen your comment after 24 hours and you don't think you have broken these rules, please contact us.
Please remember to read the British Council's Terms of Use.
